Teradata Integration with Amazon Bedrock Fast-Tracks GenAI Implementation
Teradata is debuting a new integration with Amazon Bedrock that offers “rapid-start” generative AI (GenAI) use cases through Teradata VantageCloud, greatly accelerating GenAI implementation. This integration will combine Vantage Cloud’s open and connected framework with Amazon Bedrock—a fully managed AWS service for adopting GenAI—enabling customers to quickly use an array of foundational models with their VantageCloud data.
Key to successful GenAI is deploying trusted GenAI use cases from within a reliable and scalable analytics and data platform, according to Teradata.
Powering this possibility, Teradata’s integration will provide its customers with a repository of more than 60 GenAI use cases that span a variety of functions and industries. From helping deliver superior customer experiences to enhancing employee productivity and streamlining business processes, this integration serves to fast-track GenAI implementation at scale and cost efficiently.

By merging VantageCloud’s open and connected GenAI capabilities with Amazon Bedrock’s foundational models, customers benefit from a highly scalable API that leverages VantageCloud data to accelerate GenAI implementation.
Teradata VantageCloud uses the teradatagenai python package, a Python library package that offers user-friendly functions that encapsulate API calls for commonly used text analytics. This package, paired with Amazon Bedrock’s real-world GenAI use cases, enables enterprises to tap into tangible business value because of AI.
