iGenius Deploys One of the World’s Largest NVIDIA DGX AI Supercomputers, Targeting Highly Regulated Industries
iGenius, a pioneer in AI models for highly regulated industries, is announcing its deployment of NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD with NVIDIA Grace Blackwell Superchips with the goal of supporting advanced model deployment in financial services, healthcare, and public sector verticals.
Culminating within the iGenius Colosseum supercomputer—located in Europe—iGenius will be able to power advanced AI apps with real-time, trillion-parameter inference and training, fueled by thousands of NVIDIA Grace Blackwell Superchips. Colosseum will be able to train open source generative AI (GenAI) models as well as trillion-plus-parameter large language models (LLMs).
iGenius Colosseum is expected to deliver 115 exaflops of computational performance (115,000,000,000,000,000,000 operations per second), powered by renewable energy from Italy. By delivering unprecedented speed and 25x greater energy efficiency, Colosseum addresses the growing computational demands spurred by AI, according to iGenius.
"We designed this supercomputer for unicorn use cases that can deliver $1B-plus in value. Combining our expertise with NVIDIA accelerated computing and software helps unlock transformative opportunities to solve extraordinary, once-unsolvable challenges in finance, healthcare, and government to serve customers worldwide,” said Uljan Sharka, CEO of iGenius.
Colosseum is built on the NVIDIA DGX accelerated computing platform, engineered to easily integrate with iGenius’ specialized AI models—-including GPT for Numbers, a model for reducing hallucinations and thereby improving support for highly regulated industries. AI precision, reliability, privacy, and safety are core focuses for Colosseum, where embracing “sovereign AI infrastructure” enables verticals like finance, healthcare, and public sectors to adopt advanced AI.
Colosseum also acts as a collaboration hub, according to iGenius, where the supercomputer will help connect enterprises, academic institutions, and policymakers in the effort to democratize AI technology.
According to Charlie Boyle, vice president of DGX platforms, NVIDIA, “The iGenius Colosseum NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD with Grace Blackwell Superchips serves an AI factory that will accelerate the development and deployment of AI applications that meet regulatory requirements and align with local languages and culture.”
The next phase of iGenius and NVIDIA’s collaboration will manifest through iGenius AI models being offered as NVIDIA NIM microservices. iGenius plans to offer customers the ability to deploy models and microservices as fully managed apps, which can include cloud-based or on-prem NVIDIA accelerated computing.
